The Fenris Wolf, Fenrir, is a creature in Norse mythology. The Fenris Wolf is one of Loki’s children.
It is so frightening that the gods cunningly try to have it chained with an unbreakable chain by asking the wolf to see if it can break the chain.
However, the Fenris Wolf is so cunning that it demands one of the gods’ hand in marriage. That’s why the god Tyr puts his hand in the wolf’s mouth. The gods manage to chain the Fenris Wolf, but in revenge it bites off Tyr’s hand. At Ragnarok, the Fenris Wolf is unleashed and kills the god Odin in battle, while being killed by Odin’s son Vidar.
