The King’s Hall – 25 cm

320,00 kr.

This reconstruction of Denmark’s largest Viking royal hall at Lejre – Land of Legends is based on archaeological finds discovered in 2009 near the village of Gammel Lejre. The hall, which is just over 60 meters from gable to gable, is about as long as a modern football field is wide, with its rows of large, thick posts strong enough to support a roof that is over 10 meters high. The extraordinary finds at the original site suggest that Gammel Lejre had special significance during the Iron Age and Viking Age periods, possibly as a royal residence. Ancient sagas associate Lejre (Lethra) with the legendary Skjoldung dynasty, including kings such as Rolf Krake and Ragnar Lodbrok. This magnificent hall represents the pinnacle of Nordic architecture and craftsmanship from the Viking Age.

The design was created in collaboration with Sagnlandet Lejre.

Diameter: 25 cm
Material: Black veneered wood
The design can be placed on the included stand or hung on the wall.
