Roskilde Fjord was an important waterway for the Vikings. Skuldelev ships were sunk in the narrow channel to block the enemy’s further passage into Roskilde Fjord and defend attacks on Roskilde, where the royal seat was located. The Vikings had sentries at the entrance to Roskilde Fjord where they stood ready with prepared bonfires. In addition to sentries, the Vikings had set up floating barriers of large logs out in the fjord to make the entrance difficult. It took about an hour to warn Roskilde that enemy ships were on their way.

The product may have a slightly burnt odor, which will diminish over time. The product is delivered unassembled in an eco-friendly box with detailed assembly instructions and a small product folder. Remember to remove the protective foil before assembly. As wood is a living material, it does not tolerate moisture or direct sunlight.
